NOTES When it comes to Syrah, we never stop trumpeting patience. In continuing to explore this variety’s magnificence, those examples we find most intriguing employ extended barrel raising, leading to deeper concentration of flavors, silkier textures and a haunting complexity that continues to echo deep into the finish. Because of this, each subsequent year we push deeper into these wines’ ability to evolve in barrel.
PRESS “The 2015 Syrah Estate Vineyard reminds me of a Syrah Manfred Krankl might make from a mountain terroir. This deep purple colored beauty boasts sensational notes of bloody blueberries, cured bacon, spring flowers, ground pepper, and lavender, and it’s incredibly complex, layered, and both intellectually and hedonistically satisfying. Possessing medium to full-bodied richness, silky tannins, flat out awesome purity, and a singular character, I’d put this up with the finest Syrahs in the world. If you haven’t heard of Justin Harmon, you should write that name down. Bravo, sir.” 98+ Points, Jeb Dunnuck
