VINEYARD   Neighboring vineyards located at 1,000 feet on the northwest crown of Sonoma Mountain, whose well-drained soils and exposure to cooling pacific winds lead to early budbreak, followed by long, consistent growing seasons.
PRODUCTION   250 cases
VARIETAL   100% Syrah. Clones: 66% Entav 470, 33% Alban Powerblock
CRUSH  Hand-harvested in two passes on 10/25 and 11/2. Cluster and berry sorted by hand, 25% whole-cluster fermented.
FERMENT   5-day cold soaks, followed by native fermentation in open-top tanks, with an average of 20 days of skin contact.
AGING   20 months, French oak barrels, 50% new. Never racked prior to bottling.  Bottled un-fined, unfiltered.
